HRH Prince Andrew the Duke of York arrived in the North East to visit two selected companies within the GIBC amongst other itinerated activities.
In his role as the UK’s Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, his Royal Highness visited AYO Media to learn more about our business and to meet our newly recruited apprentices.
During the tour His Royal Highness met and spoke to all the members of AYO Media immersing himself in our process and the individual roles within the business.
The Duke was particularly interested in the AYO Media apprenticeship scheme and was presented with a card and personalised cookie for his birthday by our business admin apprentice, Sarah Denholm.
Directors Rob Mathieson and Kevin Reece commented “It was great for the company to receive this royal visit and also for everybody who makes up our great team to meet the Duke of York.
His Royal Highness asked a lot of questions about individual roles and the services we provide as a leading North East agency. He was extremely down to earth and enjoyed a few jokes with the team. We’ve never met anyone from the royal family before and this was definitely a day to remember in AYO Media history.”
