Newcastle-based Urban Celebrity is an exciting new online retailer stocking some of the most desirable designer labels such as Religion, One Teaspoon, Ashley Marc Hovelle, Blue Blood, Tough Jeansmith and Reem. Created by a young entrepreneur Andrew Hayton, Urban Celebrity aims to provide both men and women with exclusive, high quality pieces at competitive prices. 



Andrew approached AYO Media to redesign his current brand, making it more appealing to his target audience and helping it stand out amongst the competition. After a number of meetings, AYO Media gave the brand’s logo a more modern, edgy feel which was then integrated into the website design.



When developing the ecommerce platform, AYO Media’s web development team combined slick design with usability, producing a fully manageable and aesthetically pleasing website. A customised CMS integrated with the website gave Andrew a full access to managing products, orders and enquiries, together with generating news articles and changing the site’s content.

Online Marketing


Following the successful launch of the Urban Celebrity website, Andrew worked with AYO Media’s SEO team to increase the online presence of his brand and boost its search engine rankings.

This involved researching keywords expressing the core messages of the business and using a number of off-site SEO techniques such as link building and social networks interaction.

Working on the Urban Celebrity project has been so exciting! We have developed a product that looks great and works brilliantly.
