Overview

If We Can You Can Challenge winner, Steven Smith approached AYO Media to help define the next big thing in the Equestrian market and create an online platform that reflected the high-end and adventurous nature of the brand.

Inspired by his parents who own the Old Cooperage Saddlery, Steven who himself is a keen show jumper identified a gap in the equine market and set up Group SS Ltd, an online sports and leisure hub initially targeting the equestrian market and eventually providing different pursuits with a similar online offering.

This membership-based business allows the user to access all available information about their chosen pursuit with contents ranging from free advice lines to retail and classified advertising.

AYO Media delivered both GSS Equestrian and GSS Stores, with GSS Equestrian providing all aspects of the equestrian industry in one site and GSS Stores providing a platform from which a user can purchase any item under the GSS brand.

GSS Equestrian is the most exciting innovation to enter the equestrian market in decades, this online service aims to be the largest web based service for every individual involved in the equine industry.

The web application designed and developed by AYO Media consolidates all aspects of the equestrian industry and acts as an epicentre of information.

The site incorporates user driven information, online research, equestrian classifieds, events calendars, industry articles, product reviews, bespoke forums, business directories and jobs.

The GSS team can manage all aspects of the site and new users can join and upload their own content which includes video and imagery.

With many digital agencies in the pipeline AYO immediately won the project within the first few moments of us meeting. Their sheer level of skill, enthusiasm and determination; combined with their commitment and a real friendly atmosphere made what could have been a difficult project into a truly memorable one.
